Over 248 years of scale and force measurement experience is represented in the newly named Emery Winslow Scale Company. Emery (since 1868) and Winslow (since 1896) were already joined in 1974, combining Winslow's vast weighbridge experience with Emery's process system and load cell strengths. The two companies shared technology but basically operated as separate entities. Now they will operate as one, for maximum utilization of resources and name recognition.

A commitment has been made by the company to dramatically expand its distribution capacity through the independent scale dealer network in the United States. The new name will be seen in advertisements and literature as part of this sales and marketing strategy.

Floor/Platform Scales

Stainless Steel Floor Scale

The Models 709 and 710 are extremely rugged floor scales, designed for accuracy and maximum durability, even in the harshest environments. A special version of this scale is permanently submerged in salt water at Sea World to weigh Killer Whales.

The series 709 uses the NTEP certified model 102 load cell, while the series 710 uses the model 136-10 PermaCellTM. Both load cell models have the most extensive guarantee coverage in the industry. They are guaranteed for life against failure from water, high pressure wash down, power surges and voltage spikes. Scales and load cells are constructed of Grade 304 stainless steel.

These scales are also designed for maximum clean-ability. The deck panels slide off for total cleaning access to the scale understructure and pit, or can be raised with gas-assisted springs. They can even be raised automatically with a pneumatic power-lift option. The scale never needs to be lifted out of the pit for service or daily cleaning.
